The Solution
The Saints Foundation with the help of Vizulink was one of the early adopters of interactive live streaming with their fanbase, this enabled the faithful fans of Southampton FC to continue to interact with the club and players they support from the safety and comfort of their own home.
Offering a complete events-based service, Vizulink supplied, installed, and maintained all of the equipment needed to run an effective live streaming service for the Saints Foundation. To run an effective service, we opted to use an IPTV solution that enabled us to split streams into a magnitude of bitrates to compensate for viewers who have access to both high and low internet speeds, meaning no matter the internet connection the Saints Foundation offered a buffer-free experience.
All streams we’re encoded with an encryption codex and available through an OTP (one-time password), this was sent out prior to the event going live allowing the Saints Foundation to keep the service exclusive to its paying members and preventing any non-paying members from gaining access to exclusive content and sharing it.
